1. Laos
  • Find Laos on a map. Find facts about Laos and write at least five important keywords about the country.
  • Fill out the questionnaire.
  • Discuss differences between schools in Laos and your own school.
2. India
  • Find India on a map at CIA's homepage. Find facts and write at least five important keywords about India.
  • Also find the cities Mumbai (Bombay) and Bangalore. In which part of India are these two cities situated?
  • From the information you get, make a list of things that reminds you of your own country, and make a list of things that differ. Also use impressions from the street in Mumbai and Bangalore.
  • Discuss why schooling and education are important.
  • Which kind of education would you like to have - and why?
  • Make an entry and send it to the debate forum at http://www.blackboxes.org.
3. Japan

Visit a school in Japan at enchantedlearning

  • Find Japan on a map. Find facts and write at least five important keywords about the country.
  • Pick a website among the Japanese schools, read it and describe the school to the rest of your class.
  • Find out how you could give a presentation of your school at a homepage on the Internet. Which subjects, pictures and texts do you want on your homepage?
